Jakarta - Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) continues to help raise awareness on safe driving by providing a special session of its Ford Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) program recently for navy officers from the Indonesian Navy Headquarters Detachment (Denma Mabesal).
This special DSFL training was held in recognition of Indonesia’s National Armed Forces Day. Nearly 300 navy officers were keen to enhance their own awareness about safe driving techniques and practices by participating in the DSFL session, which took place at Indonesia Navy Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta. The DSFL session included both a classroom component covering theory, and hands-on driving to practice what they had learned.
“We are very excited to be a part of the Ford DSFL program. This program gives us beneficial knowledge about the importance of safety driving and provides first-hand experience on how to drive safely as well as fuel efficient to create a better driving environment for ourselves and others on the road,” said Colonel Marine Rudi Andi Hamzah, Commandant of Navy Headquarters Detachment.
With the support from the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (AIPF) and partnership with the Jakarta Defensive Driving Center (JDDC), Ford’s DSFL program helps raise awareness on safe driving by conducting sessions, free-of-charge, with a wide variety of groups and organizations. (One)
